About Us

Creative Tree is a company dedicated to local preschools and schools art’s education in dance, theatre and music enrichment and performance. In the last 14 years, Creative Tree has provided our professional services across nationwide. To ensure our programmes stay relevant to the needs of today’s education, Creative Tree works closely with the National Arts Council, schools and teachers, as well as with our instructors and arts practitioners.

Our History

Creative Tree was found in 2000 by Celina Ng and Joavien Ng, a sister collaboration venture to provide dance enrichment to the local schools. Over the years, the company has expanded its resources from providing aesthetic enrichment to producing fine quality theatre and dance performance to schools. In 2013 alone, Creative Tree has brought our services to 55 schools in Singapore.

To date, Creative Tree has to a vast network of quality artists, educators and instructors, and actors with our own in house technical /editing equipments and a dance studio for our instructor training and actor rehearsal purposes.

Our Motto

To cultivate a holistic experience through arts, where the young can learn beyond the art forms, to better themselves as individuals in society and enrich their lives and those around them.

Our People

Joavien Ng
Artistic and Programme Director
Co-founder

Joavien Ng has 18 years of pedagogic experience in aesthetics education. Upon graduating from La Salle College of the Arts - Contemporary Dance in 1997, Joavien taught contemporary dance and staged dance productions extensively in the local school community. From her experience gathered, she created and pioneered some of the highly sort after and popular dance programmes in schools today, such as Percussion Dance, Marabathon Dance, Creative Classroom.

Celina Ng
Managing Director
Co-founder

Celina Ng possess years of management experience in banking, prior to her venture into arts education management. With her years of experience in the commercial industries, Celina manages all public relation, logistics and financial operation of Creative Tree to ensure the smooth execution of Creative Tree’s programmes.

Lorencia Kan
Dance Trainer/Programming Assistant

Lorencia, trained in contemporary, ballet, Latin, ball room, hip hop, joined Creative Tree in 2013 as an assistant trainer/programmer. Being an excellent and committed instructor, her exceptional leadership and innovative quality is an valuable asset to Creative Tree.

Yak Aik Wee
Theatre director, scriptwriter, composer, actor

Aik Wee is a veteran in the Singapore Theatre Scene. Being an all rounder with substantial experience in the field of dance, theatre and music, Aik Wee co-produces and directs Creative Tree AEP exposure performances. Aik Wee is also an actor and instructor.

Kid Chua
Sound technician/Logistics

Kid oversees the operation of our AEP Exposure backstage technical requirements, and AEP Experience training materials and editing/ recording of music and video materials.
